This exhibition prototype was developed through the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge art theory, design, philosophy, social sciences, and the researcher’s own experience as an artist working with new media. The project redefines exhibition design as more than a venue for display, positioning it as a “Space of Conceptual Reconstruction,” where audiences actively engage in intellectual exploration and aesthetic experience.

1. To employ conceptual experimentation as a method for creating intellectual and aesthetic experiences through exhibition design.
2. To develop a conceptual and experiential exhibition model that integrates art, technology, and audience perception.
3. To generate new knowledge in practice-based research and contemporary exhibition design.
The Experimental Exhibition Design approach is grounded in the creation of an “Experiential Space,” emphasizing conceptual and emotional perception through contemporary technology. The conceptual inspiration derives from the labyrinth motif on a Hellenistic coin from Knossos (300–200 BCE, HCR 4579), whose single entrance symbolizes a journey of no return. This metaphor was applied to the exhibition as a conceptual experiment, transforming the space into an “Enclosed Space” that embodies abstract meanings and reflects hidden power within architectural design, interpreted through the symbolic framework of the Likay theatre backdrop (Thong Phra Rong).
The design process employed conceptual experimentation to transform theoretical ideas into spatial form. Two video installations by Anupong Charoenmitr
– Until The End Of The Day (2017) and
– Somethings Like a Thing, Sometimes Like Every Time (2018)
Served as the central works of the exhibition. These pieces function as experiential stimuli linking spatial design and the human body within the Likay performance context, creating a “Field of Thought Imagery” that invites the audience to interpret meaning through visual language.
