Immersed in the tropical wilderness, he discovered a new sense of time, space, and material. Nature, as he describes it, became his “greatest teacher”. His work is now rooted in his immediate surroundings, moving between contemplation, irony, and radical experimentation. While he continues to use traditional media – oil on canvas, drawing – his work also explores unconventional, provocative forms: gilded elephant dung, shredded banknotes, watercolor paintings on cement bags, or oil paintings on oil cans. These humble or unexpected materials are given new meaning, both critical and poetic.
